The PRIDElist is a published signature campaign intended to raise the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community and its friends at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. With the PRIDElist, we want our LGBTQ+ students to know that they are not alone during their time here at Rocky Top, but in fact, are surrounded by faculty, staff, fellow students, friends, and alums who care about them and are passionate about making UT a more inclusive place.

From late August to late September, anyone with a UT affiliation (faculty/staff, current student, friend of the university, and/or alum) can sign the list in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Those gathered names will be published in October through The Daily Beacon and online on the Pride Center’s website. It will also be archived with the UT Libraries.

Participation in the PRIDElist initiative is voluntary—all names are gathered from the signature submission form. If you have signed the list and wish to be removed before publication, please email us as soon as possible before the signature deadline. We understand that signing the PRIDElist is not the only way to show identity or allyship and for a variety of reasons, people may prefer to show support for the LGBTQ+ community in other ways.

We hope you will take a minute to add your name to the PRIDElist. Every name counts toward our ultimate goal of being welcoming to all and hostile to none.
