Upcoming Events

We add new events and programs all the time! Check back frequently for updates and additional information.

The Pride Center strives to make all of our events as accessible as possible for our entire campus community. If you require accommodations to attend one of our events, have a suggestion on how to make our programming even more accessible, or have concerns about an event, please feel free to email Bonnie Johnson (she/her/hers), Pride Center Coordinator, at bonnie@utk.edu with your feedback.

Fall 2019

Are you:

  • a new student, faculty, or staff member at UTK?
  • a returning student, faculty, or staff member but unfamiliar with the Pride Center?
  • always saying that you keep meaning to stop by the Center but never do?

If any of these (or more!) describe you, join us at our fall open house at the Pride Center from 4pm-6pm and check out our community space, resources, and meet our staff!

Every year the Pride Center hosts an ice cream social in honor of National Coming Out Day, celebrated annually on October 11. While being “out” is definitely a privilege and we encourage folks to make their own decisions about coming out, we still celebrate the power and importance of visibility in shifting attitudes and norms around gender and sexuality.

The entire campus community is invited to celebrate and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. We hope to see you there!

While more details will be released soon, save the date!
