The Pride Center’s discussion groups are peer-facilitated, identity-based groups for students to connect with each other in a closed space. What groups are offered each semester depends entirely on the availability and facilitation interest of LGBTQ+ students at UTK. Since they are peer-led, our staff are unable to facilitate or host additional identity groups.
Historically, the Pride Center has offered discussion groups for the following identities:
- Asexual and Aromantic
- Bisexual and Pansexual
- Transgender and Nonbinary
- Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPOC)
- QueerAbility (at the intersection of LGBTQ+ and ability/disability)
HOWEVER we are always open to new discussion group ideas!
Are you interested in leading a discussion group that is not currently offered? Email us at pridecenter@utk.edu expressing your interest and qualifications.
